Not included in the price
Our prices do not include bar bills, admission prices to local attractions, transport to/from the boats and car parking.

Supplements
There are no hidden extras and no supplements for single travellers occupying single cabins.

Discounts
Guests who have travelled with us before will be eligible for a loyalty discount of 5% as will guests taking a second or subsequent cruise during the season.

Late booking
Normally, when you book, we require a deposit of £100 per person, but if you book less than eight weeks before the start of your chosen cruise, you must pay the full amount with your booking form. If you book less than 7 days ahead, please pay by credit card, or arrange with us to pay in cash on arrival.

Children, pets and smoking
We cannot accommodate children under the age of 14 except on whole boat charters.
We regret that co pets can be brought on board.
Please note that smoking is not permitted inside the boats.

BOOKING CONDITIONS

BOOKINGS, DEPOSITS AND OUTSTANDING BALANCE
We can provisionally reserve cabins for you by telephone, but booking can only be confirmed on receipt of a properly completed booking form and the appropriate deposit of £150 per person per week. Your booking form and our acknowledgement constitute a legally binding contract between you and Duke and Duchess Cruising Co.Ltd. We will be legally bound to provide the accommodation as booked. You, in turn, will be legally bound to pay the balance of the cost, which must be paid at least six weeks before the start of the holiday.

Payment.
Payment may be made by Cheque or Credit Card.
For credit card payments there will be a £10 (TEN) pound surcharge added to the amount debited to your card.
Only the full amount may be paid by credit card i.e. not just the deposit.

CANCELLATION
Should you be forced to cancel your reservation, you must advise us immediately and confirm it in writing. On cancellation, you will still be liable for the full cost of the holiday, even if you have not paid the balance due, unless we are able to re-let the cabin/s when we will refund any amounts paid, less the deposit.
We reserve the right to regard changes to dates after confirmation as cancellation.
We strongly advise you to obtain adequate holiday insurance to cover cancellation risks.

OPERATORS RIGHT OF TERMINATION
We reserve the right to decline a booking without assigning any reason for so doing.
We reserve the right to terminate a passengers cruise should the person in our opinion have placed the boats, its equipment or other passengers in danger of damage or injury by ignoring safety advise or instructions of the crew. We also reserve the right to terminate the cruise of any passenger found smoking inside the boats, or who in the opinion of the master of the boats, behaves in a manner disruptive to the other passengers. Any refund of the price of the holiday paid would be entirely at our discretion.
We reserve the right to cancel any cruise for which there are insufficient bookings, or if due to circumstances outside our control it has become impossible to carry out the cruise. In such cases, you will, if possible be offered alternative dates. Otherwise, any sum received from you will be returned in full, but you shall have no claim on any account against us.

The deposit is £150 per person per cruise.
Bookings may not be transferred to a third party without permission of the company.

WATER RESTRICTIONS AND FORCE MAJEURE
We reserve the right to alter or amend a published cruising route (or routes) if this is made necessary by canal stoppages, water shortages, flood, or if we deem this to be in the best interests of our passengers.
We reserve the right to reallocate accommodation when in our opinion it is necessary to do so.
You shall have no claim on us, and no particular right of cancellation, should any re-routing be necessary.
Whilst we make very effort to keep to the advertised timetable, we shall not be liable for any loss caused to you by delay, mechanical or electrical breakdown, failure to keep to time, or any cause whatsoever.
Should navigational difficulties prevail on the waterway, the cruise may be rescheduled to commence, divert or terminate at alternative locations or on an alternative craft in order to safeguard the holiday. This situation will not be considered grounds for cancellation of a confirmed holiday.

PERSONAL ACCIDENT AND GUESTS PROPERTY
We shall not be liable for any loss or damage to any article or personal property belonging to you which may be sustained during the cruise or whilst the articles are upon the boats, or premises or vehicles belonging to us or our agents.
Except in respect of death or personal injury caused by our negligence, we shall not be liable for any personal injury suffered by you during the cruise or whilst upon the boats, or premises or vehicles belonging to us or our agents.
If we advise car-parking facilities, we shall not be liable for any loss or damage to your vehicle or its contents.
We are unable to arrange car-parking—where we advise facilities, it is your responsibility to contact the facilities direct to make arrangements to park.

We can take no responsibility for the consequences of not being informed in writing regarding your dietary requirements, food dislikes or any relevant health problems.

If you require a low bed, please advise at time of booking as these are not always available and we can take no responsibility for non availability.

GENERAL
No children under 14 will be carried, except on a whole boat charter when additional booking conditions may apply.
Your holiday is fully protected under the EEC Package Holiday Directive (90/314/EEC)
These conditions shall operate in accordance with English Law and the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts
Smoking is not permitted inside the boats
We reserve the right to levy a surcharge should our VAT ratings or the rate of VAT change
Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the contents of our brochure and other publicity material, we shall not be liable for any inaccuracies that may occur.
