Welcome to our 2012 Cruising Schedule

Map of waterway system

For 2012, we shall be concentrating on getting the most from some established favourite routes, rather than exploring too many new waters.

Such is the popularity of lazily cruising the upper reaches of the River Thames that we shall be making two trips (cruises 2 and 8) starting and ending in Oxford.

We shall visit the newly-reopened Droitwich canals in cruises 13, 14 and 22.

From Bath, we shall be making a leisurely cruise to Bristol and back on the River Avon (cruise 5).

Due to overwhelming demand, we shall also be returning to the Caldon canal (cruise 15) and the ever-popular Llangollen canal (cruises 17 and 18).

Cruise 12 features a canal we have not cruised for a while - the beautiful lock-free Ashby Canal.

Many other firm favourites of our past cruises are contained in the schedule. There will be plenty of aqueducts, tunnels, boat lifts, locks - and above all, unspoilt countryside for those who love these things.

Notes for 2012 Cruises:

Travel Advice
The majority of our guests arrive and depart the boats by public transport (train or coach), whilst some are brought and collected by relatives or friends. Others come by car or taxi. Most of our start/finish points are chosen because they have good public transport - a nearby railway and/or coach station.

We will send you advice about travel when you book, and full joining instructions, including detailed maps of how to find the boats, nearer the time (generally when you pay the final balance for the cruise). If you arrive by train, you can usually pick up a taxi at the station and simply give the map to the taxi driver.

For most of our cruises, we can arrange car parking if requested in advance. Our travel information includes advice on using public transport to return to your car at the end of the cruise. Alternatively, we can help you to arrange return transport by taxi.

Included in the price
Full board accommodation, use of all facilities, a glass of wine with dinner, and VAT at our current ratings.

Not included in the price
Our prices do not include bar bills, admission prices to local attractions, transport to/from the boats and car parking.

Supplements
There are no hidden extras and no supplements for single travellers occupying single cabins.

Discounts
Guests who have travelled with us before will be eligible for a loyalty discount of 5% as will guests taking a second or subsequent cruise during the season.

Late booking
Normally, when you book, we require a deposit of £100 per person, but if you book less than eight weeks before the start of your chosen cruise, you must pay the full amount with your booking form. If you book less than 7 days ahead, please pay by credit card, or arrange with us to pay in cash on arrival.
